Using: Two Fentum spading machines
Arable farm and agricultural contractor Gebr. Varekamp from Tinte has been working with two Fentum spading machines since 2022. Whereas their previous machines often clogged with mud at the front of the crankshaft in wet periods, they have had no such problems at all with the Fentum spading machines.

Peter: "We farm fairly heavy soil, so our machines really have to be able to cope. With our previous machine we often ran into problems, especially in wet conditions. The crankshaft regularly clogged with mud, causing a lot of downtime. Since we switched to the Fentum spading machines three years ago, we have not had that problem at all. The machines are designed with plenty of space and keep running well even in the toughest conditions."
"With a working width of 3.5 metres and 300 hp in front, we achieve serious capacity with our Fentum spading machine. We also have a second Fentum spading machine with 240 hp in front. The big advantages are the fine spading result, the capacity we can achieve and how easy it is to replace a part. You can replace a broken bearing in two hours without removing the whole crankshaft. You can tell Fentum comes from a Dutch manufacturer, because every part has really been well thought out."
