Using: Fentum spading and seeding combination

Maatschap Meijer-Risseeuw, specialising in potatoes, sugar beet, cereals, grass seed and vining peas, invested in a complete Fentum spading and seeding combination in 2023.

The deciding factor was mainly the extremely wet autumn. With crops coming off the land late and the soil too waterlogged for ploughing, the combination machine proved to be the most effective solution for soil cultivation.

Martijn Risseeuw: "We bought the 3 metre spading and seeding machine and opted for a complete combination including front hopper, front weight and power harrow. The long spades combined with the high top beam give plenty of clearance, so crop residue does not drag under the machine. We are pleased with our investment, because without this machine it would be hard to get all our fields worked in the autumn."
